Water Gap Retreat is a small, intimate campground located on the Shavers Fork of the Cheat River near Elkins, West Virginia. We want to be your home base for relaxation, outdoor adventure, Appalachian culture, and personal growth.
We welcome individuals, families, and groups to our cozy cabin and unique riverside shelters for reunions, retreats, and workshops.
What makes us different? We work with you — as much or as little as you require — to make your experience the best and most rewarding. We can design workshops for your group, make arrangements for meals and snacks, provide evening entertainment, or plan outings tailored to your interests, whether you want a tour of historical sites, an outdoor adventure, or a visit to an artist's studio.
